1 – Make a sincere self-assessment

To begin a change that is real, the first stage is to conduct a self-assessment that is sincere. Identify and accept the behavior to be changed.

This is hurting you in a way. To put this into practice, a methodology that can help a lot is the application of SWOT analysis.

Through it you identify strengths and weaknesses and structure a way of acting. Mapping them makes it easier to concentrate efforts to start fighting them.

More than that: make a really thorough analysis. Remember other professional experiences. Be honest: has this been repeated at other times?

If you really intend to carry out this change in posture within your work, then it’s time to tell yourself the truth.

This will make the process lighter – although it may not necessarily be simple to do.

2 – Eliminate distractions

3 – Understand the context and think positively

But, within what is within your reach, start to metalize positively. Think.

What can I do to make this better for myself and everyone? Are there processes, for example, that if you change, they will become better and will generate greater satisfaction? Why not take the lead then?

A change in attitude at work is directly linked to proactivity. To what you understand you can do and do!

4 – Set realistic goals and targets for yourself

One of the ways to find the motivation you need on a daily basis is to set realistic goals and objectives for you to achieve.

They don’t necessarily need to go through the manager or CEO of the company. DYI, Do It Yourself. Do it yourself.

Apply the 5W2H methodology to help you if needed. Set a destination for you to arrive. Let’s think about sales, for example.

Maybe there’s a monthly goal set for how much you need to sell – surely the sales manager has determined it. But to get there as effectively as possible, set a path for yourself.

Determine how many calls you want to make per day or per week. How many closures do you want to search – or schedule bookings for whoever is SDR? Put a low number and chase it.

You eliminated distractions, right? He is now focused on a more positive posture. Take into account your strengths and weaknesses at this point and focus on reaching your goal on Friday.

Working toward some goal ahead helps you be more productive. Imagining yourself satisfied after the week’s hard work is a positive step towards an even more positive attitude.

5 – Search, listen and apply the feedbacks received

Nobody is an island. The opinion of others, however not definitive, is important. Actively listen to what others say about your work.

Empathize with those who speak to you. When it comes to managers, listening to feedback is even more positive.

They have a strategic vision of the business and can see how you fit into the team. Listen to your performance review.

Argue if necessary, ask how you can improve. Showing interest at this point is already a big change in attitude.

If you have a leader who is an example, it’s even easier to focus on how to improve yourself on a daily basis. Also be an open channel for dialogue with everyone.

You may not believe it, but whoever is on your side is a precious source for some needed insights we all need.

6 – Search internally for references

Within the company you work for, which person has an attitude that inspires? If we return to the example of the commercial sector.

You, the salesperson, side with the company’s sales leader. “Drink” from the source. What are the best practices to work with?
